Richard Forest, MD

After finishing my MD at Tufts University, I completed a combined Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA.  With a strong passion for complex medical problems and technical procedures, I began my practice in Emergency Medicine. This is what I have been enjoying and practicing for the past 25 years.  Currently I am a staff physician at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, a 109 bed, acute care facility located in the heart of Litchfield County.

Branching out into Aesthetic Medicine might seem unrelated, but it does require many of the same skills.  In the ED I frequently handle complex facial laceration repair, nerve blocks and many other procedures. To learn the specific skills required for aesthetic injectables, I received special training from the the National Laser Institute. Assessing a patient's face and formulating a treatment plan consistent with his or her goals, understanding the underlying anatomy, and using that knowledge and experience to plan the injection are the core of the procedure - the injection itself is the end product of that assessment.
